E3 Will Happen Online-Only Due to Spread of New Omicron Variant

E3 -one of the biggest video game trade shows of the year it will be an online-only show this summer according to the ESA announced today due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19, a pandemic. The announcement, first reported by VentureBeat, is the third year in a row E3 has opted to skip its in-person show because of the pandemic.

  • “Due to the continuing┬árisk of COVID-19 to the health and the potential consequences for security of attendees and exhibitors, E3 will not be hosted in person in 2022.” ESA said in a statement. ESA stated in its statement issued to VentureBeat. “We are nevertheless excited regarding the future for E3 and are looking for more information in the near future.”

E3 WILL PASS A THIRD YEAR PERIOD IN PERSON
